Kindergarten Memories

Some of my earliest memories of crafting take me back to my kindergarten days. One of my favourite memories is cutting up old catalogues & magazines to create cards - most were for my mom. Over the years I have continued to clip things from magazines - things that caught my eye, that interested me. Some of these clippings I've held onto for years ("pack-rat-itis" ???). I didn't have plans for the clippings when I actually clipped them, but I knew I liked what I saw.

I kept most of these clippings in a shoe box until recently when I decided they were starting to overflow the borders of the shoebox. It was becoming increasingly more difficult to sort through and find the precise clipping I wanted at that particular time... I knew I needed a better system... And let's face it - ANY system would be better than my shoebox!

So here's what I came up with:

I'd love for you to leave comments - tell me, what is your earliest crafting memory?

I like to believe I was born clutching a crayon.
Honestly I can't remember the first time I created. But I do remember the first new medium I encountered besides crayons. Modeling clay. Wow...I was obssesed. I would have jumped through hoops in grade 1 just for 5 minutes with modeling clay.
